God Chose Us. What’s Next?
Elaine L. Butler
Hunter was born hearing impaired. God orchestrated events which led his great-grandparents to become his guardians. This led them on a path of discoveries. Discoveries of Hunter’s diagnoses. The journey also led Mary on self-discoveries regarding her walk with God. The reader will begin to see how they loved Hunter though many anxieties, advocated strongly, and brought Hunter from a basically non-verbal anti-social little boy to an extremely verbal and extremely social young boy.
Book Reviews
This book was excellent! I do believe that it will help people who have children with autism. We had a few tears. Well done.
This book is inspired! I had some difficulty keeping up with who was who. However, it did not distract from the inspiration.
Takes some time to digest. I know you wrote the book to share your journey to save a beautiful child with special needs, hoping to give others the courage to press on. God is in control, and we must remember that fact. But, since I don't have this type of situation, I was reminded that we live in a very broken world. Many or I dare say most of us have not had "great" beginnings. Or, if we have had a good childhood, something that has happened in our lives has shattered our being, and somehow God has held on to us and brought us through. We are so blessed, and I'm very sad for those who can't see God. Reading your book has reminded me to be more patient with people. We have no idea what they have or are going through. We've all experienced sadness and hardship in one way or another. Because of our personal experiences, we are sometimes (God) moved to help others with the same experience. Therefore, your book. Not only to help other parents with special needs children, but to remind us that we're all broken but withby faith God can and will bring us through the storms of life. Great job!
